Canon BJC 3010 Ink Jet Printer Problem

My Canon BJC 3010 Ink Jet Printer does not print my document. I have changed ink cartridges because ink had run out, I have tried printing a test page, I have removed and reinstalled my Canon BJC 3010 printer from programs and I also shut down computer and waited 10 minutes before starting computer again.....still I cannot print my documents. Can anyone help me figure out what could be wrong? The only thing that prints on paper is small lines that goes up and down, but nothing else.

Sincerely,
Rita

The printer's lying to me

The printer requires both cartridges to have ink before the printer will initialize and operational. Even if you are only printing black and white both cartridge have to contain ink or the printer will error out. This is standard on all ink jet printers from every manufacturer. You will have to get ink before you can print.

BJC 85 not printing after head replacement

I have similar problem. Print head won't print, then I clean with alcohol, and get rid of old ink inside. But then head seems to just shut down. I have several print heads and printers that have plenty of ink, but head won't work. I refuse to think the print head will break so easily. I used my BJC 85 for YEARS with no problem whatsoever, and suddenly, since last winter, I have 4 printers that have stopped printing.
I usually end up just buying another used printer on ebay until that one stops printing.

Problems with Canon BJC S400 - will not print ink on documents even though I just changed the ink cartridge

Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

I'm using a Canon BJC-85 bubble jet printer, I changed a new ink, but the printing quality is very poor. Can anyone help?

Try to run the head cleaning utility of your printer. The printer cartridges may be clogged and this can easily be resolved by at least a couple of runs on the head cleaning utility.

    BJC-80 - Wont' print

Look on eBay for printhead or cartridge cleaning solution. The cartridge is clogged with dried ink. Take an empty ink tank, and drip cleaning solution onto the sponge, filling the cartridge part way. Install the cleaning cartridge in the printer, and leave it over night. Run cleaning cycle the next day, and print with the same cartridge. It should start printing. Install new ink cartridge.
With the BJCs, if the cartridge is defective electrically, the printer will have an error and usually 3 beeps, it will not try to print.

    No Print

remove the cartridge and set it on an alcohol-soaked paper towel in the kitchen sink for about 15 minutes. If the towel has not begun to draw ink out, then tap cartridge firmly against your other hand which is holding the towel. if still none, then try heating the alcohol to about 150 degrees and repeat. if still nothing, then ink is either spent or cartridge head is dried up. take it to cartridge world (or similar outlet store) and they can get a cheap replacement.
