Check to see if there is a leak coming from the ice maker tube at wall of fridge...if there is ice formation the buzzing sound may be the the blower fan blades hitting the formed ice

Kenmore coldspot 106 icemaker working fine but in the last week has started to make a loud buzz/humming sound when filling... is it the Solenoid, water fill valve or the ice maker motor ?

If you think it's only during the fill (20-30 seconds at the end of the cycle), it's probably the fill solenoid. If it were me, I'd let it go a couple of weeks and see if it quiets down on its own. There's nothing harmful about a solenoid humming, and you may find that better is the enemy of good when you wade into trying to fix it.
If you can't live with the noise, I'd suggest replacing the entire valve body and solenoid as a unit - you never know which part may be the source of the problem. It's only 2 water connections and 2 wires. You can buy the part online for $20 or less.

Loud buzzing from freezer

icemaker wont work in fridge. the buzzing sound might be the water solenoid operating and waiting for water level sensor to be happy. solenoid will make a loud harsh buzz check water supply to back of freezer and see if there is a lever on icemaker you can lift up to turn off.

Icemaker makes a loud buzzing noise when dispensing ice.

Hi,

This would be your dispenser door solenoid making the noise, if left alone with out replacing it may end up causing the control board to fail. The part is number 13 on this diagram. http://www.whirlpoolparts.ca/parts/fspShowPage.php?model=MSD2732GRW&pageNo=17

61005884 is the part number you will need to get.

Refridgerator is clicking on loudly then buzzing and sizzling

I bet the Iemaker arm has been turned on allowing th eicemaker to cycle every 10-15 mins when the icemaker calls for water it causes the water valve to open. with no water connected to the unit the valve buzzes loudly causing your noise. make sure the icemaker arm is in the up position thus turning the i/m off thanks peyton

Standalone icemaker sounds like a Harley Davidson

check and make sure you don't have a piece of scale in the intake of the waterpump. the pump stops when the unit goes into defrost to dump the ice onto the cutter grid. also check the fan under the icemaker for lint buildup on the condensor

New GE profile bottom freezer fridge intermittent buzzing

If the buzzing is a short (say 5 seconds) every once in a while, it sounds like the water is valve being energized. That would mean the icemaker is turned on and is cycling. Besides the noise, when it cycles it turns on the mold heater, which you do not need if not making ice, and thus is actually adding heat to your freezer, increasing operating cost. Just turn the icemaker off by flipping the toggle switch on the icemaker itself. It is a white switch near the bottom corner of the icemaker. Should be easy to spot.

Loud periodic buzzing

Are you sure this noise is not just the ice maker trying to cycle without water? If it is not turned off it will dry cycle every 15 min or so.
