I bought a second hand whipper snipper and it worked great but now the line needs replacing and I don't know how to do it, I have tried a few ways to put it in but it doesn't work, can you please give me any ideas. It's a Black & Decker GL 670 Electric one, is there a booklet that I could download to tell me. Thanks, Judy

SOURCE: my whipper snipper starts well but has no power to

Battery is NO GOOD.... need new ones, these quickly go bad, if not religiously charged and discharged. You must charge a long time when first get them, and then as soon as flat must go back on charger, for at least 4hours... regardless what is said. If ever removed before properly charged, then it will "remain" at that level, next charge and so on... All batteries MUST be flat before recharge, and full before used again, no exceptions.

Yes possibly, but hard to find. I did find the operators manual for a model close to yours. It is right here:

Using a black and Decker gb155 whipper snipper how do I adjust the high/low carburetor adjustment screws properly? And how do I replace the line so that it stops breaking

Dean:

Adjust the carburetor screws in all the way...do not force them. back the screws out one and a quarter turns and the machine should try to start. adjust the screws one at a time... one quarter of a turn until the machine runs properly. Then adjust the idle.

Victa Tornado Whipper Snipper 2-stroke. Why doesn't it start?

Rebuild or replace the carburetor. Whichever is cheaper and that should solve the problem

Pope whipper snipper starter cord problem

The first thing you need to do is take the recoil cover off. There are several parts to a recoil and one or more parts may be worn and coming out of place then jamming.Replace worn parts if this is the case. If the cord pulls freely when removed then you may have a problem in the engine, try turning the flywheel by hand with the spark plug out. If it does not rotate there is something inside the cylinder or broken in the crankcase. If it is a 4 stroke engine you may have fluid above the piston, you will find this out when you remove the spark plug. drain the fluid from the cylinder and replace the plug you will be good to go. Good luck

How to fit whipper snipper line

Hold the snipper upside down so the petrol leaks onto the kitchen floor. Take 6 metres of line and untangle it eventually. Stick it through the two holes and wind the cord in opposite directions so it jams together and tangles. Stick the unit head back together with two feet of line sticking out each side. Start the trimmer and jump backwards as the line rips itself to pieces. Use it on weeds until line breaks within 20 seconds. Slam the end of the trimmer into the concrete and shout **** fuckey **** ****. Then tear off the head cover and start again. I have done this for years and it never fails. Hope this helps.
