How to install a zebra 105sl printer
Install? Well that could mean a lot of different things. Just plug it up and run the ribbon and labels through their correct paths. I don't know anything about your network. (If you even need to set it up that way.) You can just connect it to the back of your PC. Follow this link. This will tell you all about the specifications of the 105SL. Zebra 105sl felt paper error
check if the sensors behind the printhead (small metal open case)is on the same position that the uper sensor(black plastic bit with the screw behind the printhead) Run the sensor profile, check if he check the gap.
run manual calibration from the settings.
worst case senario, Reset the printer to Factory defult (Press PAUSE and CANCEL buttons and tun printer on, then relese the butons after 5 secounds.

Ribbon and media sticking together bypassing cutter
Make sure that the ribbon options are turned on the printer. If you recently switch from using thermal stock which doesn't require a ribbon, then it needs to be turned on in the control panel of the printer.

If it is on, remove the ribbon cartridge from the unit and manually turn the wheels to make sure it is moving freely.

Poor Quality Print on Zebra 105SL direct thermal
How many labels has the printer printed? Because it sounds to me like you just need to replace the print head.

They are around $400 from whomever your supplier is, and very easy to replace.
