That indicates a short. Either inside the amp or the speaker wires or the speaker themselves are short. Remove the speaker connection if it is still in protection mode then you have an internal short. You can reset these they are there to prevent electrical fire. The only solution is to find the short and fix it.

My Harmon kardon is stuck in protect mode

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Double check all connections .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. Worth fixing.

everything you've tryed is useless(with respect) because amp has shorted output transistors one or more and amp is in protection mode to protect your amp from further damage.take it to repair shop or try to locate blown transistor yourself.good luck

Autotek XS-900.4 stuck in protect mode

Hi.

The amp does not go on protection only because of wiring or power source problem , but also and mainly when there is an internal fault.

Protection is started whenever an out-of range voltage value is detected from the controller circuit.

Protection can be triggered from a burnt final IC or from a speaker wiring problem.

Since you have ruled out speake, wiring and power source problems, then this Amp is probably defective

If the Amp works fine on a different vehicle, then protection mode may start either because speakers impedance is not within Amp specs, or because the amp has a too big power draw. In this last case the problem is fixed installing a capacitor on the Amp 12V line.

Regards.

Ginko.

Amp stuck in protection mode

Most if not all modern amps contain protection circuits that continually look at the output and shutdown the amp when a problem is detected. This can be as simple as a speaker wire that has moved and is crossed or more complex like the internal amp stage containing failed parts. Disconnect the speaker wires and power cycle the amp. If the amp remains in protect mode, there is a problem with the final stage of the amp. Without having the make and model, I can not provide any details at this time.

Please try the unit without the speakers connected and update this with the results along with the make and model. Armed with that info, I should be able to post some information about possible fixes along with their costs.

Nad C350 2 channel Amp continually in protection mode

That could indeed be the issue, but you must check your speakers, wiring, and also the oupt stages for problems. Maybe the prtection circuits are actually doing their job. lol

Hope that helps...

Stuck in protection mode

First disconnect the subwoofer wires from the amp, turn the car off and back on...is the amp on? If so your subs are shorting it out, either from a frayed wire, or blown subs.
If it is still in protection mode, check the fuses in the side of the amp.
