My infocus IN1 projector won't turn on any more. I press the power button and nothing happens. If I unplug it and plug it back in the lamp and hourglass lights flash for just a second, the fan spins for the next 10 seconds, the two lights flash again, then everything turns off. Does this mean the bulb is burnt out? The power button also feels ''mushy'' so I am wondering if the button is hosed

In the Infocus IN1 G300-WW projector the problem won't turn on, is not with the lamp or configuration, it is the Power button that internally breaks a plastic tab and does not make contact at the ignition point, you just have to disassemble the upper plastic, look for the plastic part of the Power and put glue on it so that it is the same as the other volume and light contacts. The projector is reassembled, it is connected and the Power is pressed, so it should turn on and give the image. This fixes the Infocus IN1 G300-WW won't turn on problem

Contact the manufacturer for a firm ware upgrade. My two brother in laws/sisters own this same pj and had the same issues you are talking about. Once they installed the update [aka: firmware upgrade]it created a solution to the problem.

Let me know how it goes. They can either mail you a CD, direct you to where on their website, otherwise email you the update to download. You have to connect your pj as well.

Let me know how that goes. I'm fairly confident that will fix it. There was a certain time frame [manufacturer dates], and serial numbers that had these issues.

SOURCE: why does my projector Infocus 7205 says constantly

Hello,
On the projector you will see 2 buttons for adjusting the brightness, with the projector on press both the brightness up and down at the same time.
Hold them both pressed for 10 seconds. This will reset the lamp timer.

Take Care!

SOURCE: i recently bought a infocus

Sounds like you have the video and audio plugged into different inputs. For example the video is going to video 1 and the audio is going to the audio input of video 2

If you get only video one input and only audio on another input... Then the above described connection is the only thing that would cause this to happen!

Cheers

Replace bulb in housing for Infocus IN24.. i want instructions how to remove old bulb from housing.

1 Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. 2 Wait 60 minutes to allow the projector to cool thoroughly. 3 Turn the projector upside down on a soft cloth so that the lamp door is facing you. 4 Slide the lamp door off. WARNING: Be extremely careful when removing the lamp housing. In the unlikely event that the bulb ruptures, small glass fragments may be generated. The lamp housing is designed to contain these fragments, but use caution when removing the lamp housing. Before replacing the lamp, clean the lamp compartment and dispose of cleaning materials. Wash hands after lamp replacement. Hg ? Lamp contains mercury. Manage in accordance with local disposal laws. 5 Detach the lamp connector from the projector by depressing the locking tab on the connector and lightly pulling it free. 6 Loosen the captive screw that attaches the lamp housing to the projector.Carefully remove the lamp housing. Dispose of the lamp in an environmentally proper manner. 7 Install the new lamp housing and tighten the screw. 8 Re-attach the lamp connector to the projector. The locking tab should engage when the connector is fully plugged in. 9 Replace the lamp door by sliding it into place. Be sure the lamp connector wires are not in the way. 10 Plug in the power cord and press the Power button to turn the projector back on. 11To reset the lamp hour timer, navigate to the Settings>Service menu and select Reset Lamp Hours.

My infocus IN1 projector won't turn on anymore.

Hi,
It may be the lamp is out. Normally a projector will try & fire the lamp 3-5 times then shut down with a different color light like amber or red. If the lamp doesn't light then it could be the lamp or perhaps the lamp ballast that starts the lamp has failed. A stuck fan also causes similar symptoms. There's 2-4 fans in the projector if one is stuck or bad it will turn off within 5 seconds or so after the lamp lights.
Does your lamp light at all? Are the lights a different color after it shuts down? Answers to these questions help figure out what's wrong though it's impossible to say for sure without looking at it. I service almost all Infocus projectors if you would like a quote please reply with your email address or write me at [email protected]
Good Luck,
Jim

Infocus IN1 Gaming Projector

Hi, I just bought the same projector Infocus IN1 and after just 15 minutes of use it turned off due to overheating. It seems that the lamp is very ineffecient and produces too much heat. The ambient temperature in the room is only 16 deg. celcius.

The solution I came up with is to have a standing fan blowing air directly on the back of the projector from less than a foot away. The standing fan which we usually use here in summer was enough to keep the projector cool. The infocus IN1 did not switch off for the next 2 hours (the entire length of the movie), until i turned it off myself. I am not sure how this system will fare in summer when the room temperature reaches 30 deg. celcius.

Infocus LP725 projector

The Projector will turn off after so many hours of running the same bulb module. The counter will turn on a replace bulb LED. Installing the new bulb module should reset the counter and turn off the LED.

Check the projector’s lamp to ensure that it is securely connected
in the lamp module. Make sure by removing it and reinserting it.

Check the cables for problems.

When testing, power up in this order. Projector, Computer monitor, Computer.

A minor power surge may cause the lamp to shut off. Turn the
projector off, wait at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

I hope these suggestions help
