I recently bought a JVC KD-R311 car stereo, its a great stereo but my settings dont save, for instance i set the perfect sound adjusting bass/treb/mid/loudness and whenever i turn my car back on after turning it off, all my audio settings have reset to 0 on everything, and if i turn the cars ignition off when a cd is on say, track 12, when i turn the car back on it starts from track 1, any ideas?

Hold the SEL button to bring up the PSM menu, use up/down to select CLOCK H for hour or CLOCK M for minute, turn the knob to adjust, and press SEL to set.
Full details are on page 3 of the manual.

Press and hold SEL (select) for more than 2 seconds so that one of the PSM items appears on the display.
Press number 2 button to to select Clock (clock should be above the #2.
The Clock HR (Hour) setting will appear.
Adjust the hour using the round left side control.
Use the up/down arrows (right side) to toggle to Minutes and use the dial to set minutes.
Use the up/down arrows to toggle to 24/12 and choose between military time or standard
with the left dial.
Press SEL to save changes.

This unit is not installed properly one of the power wires should be on a always hot connedtion the other through the ignition .

Press and hold the "Sel" button for over 2 seconds. Clock "H", Clock "M", SCM link. "Level" and "AREA". appears on the screen.
Set the hour Press the track skip button. Then the "+" an "-" to adjust.
Set the minute Press the track skip button. to "clock M" Then the "+" an "-" to adjust the minutes.
Then press the "SEL" button to save.

If you press and hold the menu button, it will allow you to scroll thru options and one is set clock...turn the dial to adjust.

hold down the SEL key and then scroll (TRACK FW or TRACK BW) to the Set Clock option. Then use the Up/Down arrows to set the time and hit Done.
