Blue spot growing in lower left had corner and

Blue spot taking over...started in the in lower left hand corner and is spreading across the lower part of the screen.

do you still have a complete picture ?,are the lines coloured,?
do the lines go from left to right or do they spread out from the blank spot in a circular direction like the suns rays?

Your dlp chip needs replacing. It's a job to do but you can do it.

catually is problum is related with blue lcd & blue polizer but first you clean the optical unit if the problum gon then ok other wise must chang blue lcd & blue polorize with uv filter plese contect to your nearst sony service centre

one of the floresant bulbs has fail there is a place in Haverhill Ma called Tops Electronics that can fix you up really quick but you will have to ship it to them they do good work there

Blue image growing from corner

Understand I risk getting a bad rating from you, but I thought you should know. You have a bad optical block. Sony was supplying the optical block and covering the labor for replacement until June of this year, but that extension has expired. Your best bet is to contact Sony Customer support at 800-222-SONY. They will probably want an authorized tech to come out and evaluate the set. You may be able to get them to cover the part under warranty, but it may take a letter to the customer service executive committee to get that to happen. I am sorry I could not help more.

Blue hue on bottom of screen We have the same problem. A blue hue extending the bottom of the screen and now is working its way up the middle .

call SONY at 800 222 SONY and explain it to them and be prepared to have your TV fixed for free !!! the projection block is faulty do to outsourcing on that part for a limited number of tv's an mine was 1 of them , SOny took care of everything !!! good luck
