You can get a new door from the manufacturer's website for a few dollars. It is a simple replacement, involving a few screws to loosen the case in the door area.

Depends on what broke. If the screws holding the hinges on just stripped out, get larger screws. If you can do that or the hinge broke, get new hinges and re-hinge the door so it stays on.
Ebay was selling one for a few dollars in working condition, you are better off buying a used one or a none working one making sure the battery door is good. You can replace the battery door but it will require you to take the front and rear cover of the camera off. You will have to take off the little screws all around the camera and the pry apart the front and rear case.
Sometimes you can use a pair of small needle nose pliers and just squeeze the ends of the plastic battery door inwards from the hinge and the battery cover should pop out. To install the new battery door you do the same, squeeze the plastic axle and push it into the cameras case.
unclip the plastic cover off your door hinge and unscrew the screws on your door make sure you leave the top screw in just a bit so you can take it out with your fingers before you drop the door ok same for both sides
Check the door hinges.. if a hinge is broke or the door came off the hinge it won't shut.... now if the door won't stay closed then the tension bar that is on the door, connecting to the hinges is broke and you will have to replace it

I just broke the hinge pin while removing the old cover but found two wall Phillips had screws, under the rubber and was able to loosen the hinge enough to install new cover. Easy!
the hinge is not plastic, only the insert sleeve that goes into the hole atop the door is plastic. If the actual hinge (metal arm) is broke, then you need to order a new part (not difficult if frig is 20 years or less). If you cannot find the part, go to a metal shop and show them the broken part, they usually can repair it or remake a new piece.
If the hole in the door went bad (that is: if the hole tore open and cannot hold the hinge pin) you need to have a metal repair brace added to the door. There are 4 screws in the door that hold a plastic hinge cover on
.The door will then set into the hinge just fine (PLENTY OF ROOM) and then you put the hinge cover back on and screw the screws in to hold the door onto the hinge.You will likely need a 2nd set of hands to keep from breaking the door.
Remove batteries and memcard.
Remove 8 screws, the screws on the bottom are smaller than the side screws.
Rear cover will slide off, watch out for loose LCD screen.
Two protruding slots on the bottom hold the battery cover hinges.
Hold battery cover wide open and at an angle to snap hinges into place.
Reinstall rear cover and screws.
