Question about Mitsubishi WS-55511 55" Rear Projection Television
Rearrange my furniture in the livingroom. Move tv from one wall to another. Unplug the cord and plug it back in, power button just blinking. Tried reset button, unplugged for a few hours, still it's not working. Check all the plugs in the back panel and push them in thinking that maybe one of the cord is loose. Still no luck...
Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, [Exclude the model number] in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

SOURCE: won't power up
This model has had problems with the keyboard buttons on the front panel, causing them not to work and canceling out the remote operation. To verify this, you need to remove the front panel so you can access the connector on the keyboard pc board and unplug the connector. After doing this, see if the remote control is able to turn on the tv (wait for it to power up because with the connector off, the green power light will be disconnected and will not light up when the tv is on) If the tv works, than you will need to change the ten individual switches on the board - part# 432P089010 (or just use the remote only)

on the signal board replace the caps by the 5/9 volt regulators. c2p04 is the main culprit. 6 caps in total can be changed. I believe c2p05 also.

You need the WS55909 - WS73909 DM kit. You can get it at the following link which contains the capacitors and the CD with instructions on how to do the repair.
