Webcam hp pavillion dv9000

The webcam will let me turn it on once and use it but if i close it and then try to turn it back on i get a message sorry there is no web cam for you system. i have to turn the computer completely off and back on before it will let me use it again. and then if i close it it will do the same thing.

Yeah that's how I was able to download the latest stuff for my camera. Now that the camera is working I just need more tips on using the built-in webcam.

HP Pavillion dv9000. Intermittent stops. Cannot restart, but will do so after many hours. Screen turns blue with band of torn blue that looks like shutters. System carries out repair check - once worked...
Try booting your computer in safe mode... when your machine starts press F8 and go to Windows. Run for a couple of hours and see if this problem happens.

If you have system restore running, restore back to a point when you didnt have the problem

Hp pavillion dv9000 lcd screen changes colour when moved
The inverter is to change the volts from the laptop to the Backlight. This wont have anything to do with it.
Im more than certian it will be the LCD cable. Proberly loose or torn at where the lid closes.

None of my quick touch buttons work. HP Pavillion dv9000
My thoughts is that you may have had a Microsoft update to which has knocked out your drivers for these features. You may have to go back to HP's Web site and re-load the drivers for these two features.

My hp pavillion dv9000's hinge broke. But I was able to use it after. Then I tried to close it..and it just shut off and it will not come on. I want to know what I can do to fi it
HP *had* issued service alert 08112101 which covers the left display hinge failure.
HP Notebook Left Display Hinge Program
HP Pavilion Notebook model series affected: dv9000, dv9100, dv9200, dv9400.

This program recently ended on May 31, 2009, but HP may still allow for a grace period.

Otherwise, you'll need the following:
Display panel back panel enclosure (single lamp) 432957-001
Display hinge kit (single lamp) 432963-001
LCD bezel w/ webcam (single lamp) 432955-001

Trained pro's should be able to do this in about 20mins, there is partial lower case disassembly and complete LCD housing dis/re-assembly.
