Pioneer DEH-P1Y motorised face issue

Where is the aux in for pioneer deh-p1y

it probably has a bad flexible cable.

I recently bought a non working Pioneer DEH-P6850MP off Ebay and found that the ribbon between the face and deck was the problem .When the ribbon was given a bit of a wriggle the deck would fire up and the face would go back in .Dont know if this helps but i didnt see any other helpful hints anywhere ?

It looks like the flexible cable worn out. Try to replace the cable.

hold source button down to turn the units power off
once the unit is off hold down the F (function button) till you hear a beep from the unit once this has beeped press the F(function) button 2 or 3 times the clock should display flashing numbers
once you have this press the buttons to skip the songs to the hr once hrs are set press F (function) button one more time to select minute settings after this has been set..........hold down the source button till the unit powers back on and clock will be set on this unit

The ribbon cable should be replaced. It is a common problem. 

yes it is a over heting problem

An install gone bad. Something is hindering free movement of the face plate open mechanism. Closely inspect the top edge of the bezel, is the face plate trim ( thin plastic ornamental frame covering the ugly aluminium mounting sleeve) snapped securely back in place? has it been fitted upside down?, is it deformed?.

Make sure the unit is turned off. Then press and hold the function button for about 3-5 seconds. It should beep and the clock should be displayed. Then press up or down then left or right.

ebay sells the ribbon cable
