Hi, hild, first thing; stop the AC by remote controler, than select the fan option pressing by mode button and next start the AC, wait 8 minutes, if the unit still blows cold air, the thermistor has to be replaced. I hope this was helpful to you! success!

I would contact your local LG. Also many electronic places sell universal ac remotes (check the packaging to ensure that it can control LG's). Sound like a defective receiver board. Have this checked. Also check to see that your remote transmits. Hold the top part of the remote to your phone or digital camera lens. press a button and a light should appear on the screen of your phone or digital camera screen.

First check your circuit breaker or fuse that supplies power to the outside unit. It's probably separate from the inside unit. Then try to turn unit on. If the fan and compressor just make a humming sound then turn it off and check the capacitor if you have a multimeter. You can also look at it and see if the top looks expanded. That's a good sign its bad, but not all bad one's look expanded. Tomorrow I will have access to an LG service manual and can let you know what the code means. Sorry I can't get it sooner. Let me know what you find.

You have a ton and 1/2 split that's running all the time and problems with the remote?I am sure you have changed batteries if it has them. I would shut it off at the breaker until you can have the remote checked out or replaced. I know this would be a pain, to do, but you may have to until the remote is working right. Good Luck
