I formatted my LaCie Hard Disk by Neil Poulton before running the installer on the drive and now i've only 10mb of space on a 1tb drive how can i fix this ?

click start control panel administrive tools computer management scroll to disk drives if you can see your drive right click select properties tools tools you should see click check now click start tick in two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start or you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box then wait for that to finish
also + to expand right click you should see options update driver disable uninstall scan for hardware changes

LaCie Setup assistant is made to make it easier for the customer.
If you do not have it, you can format your drive using your MAC or PC and you can download manual and utilities from the LaCie website, which are the only things the assistant really does.

Connect the LACIE.
Click Start
Right-click My Computer
Click Manage
Expand the Storage branch of the tree
Click Disk Management (local)
Does it show a bar-graph for the LACIE?
What do you see?

The hard disk inside it has probably died. Take it out of the case and put it in the pc directly - if even now it's not responsive then it's surely dead - junk it. if now you can see it then the electronics if the case are dead - junk it and buy a new external case.

Get yourself (free) Tuxera NTFS, and or Macfuse& NTFS 3g, a simple restart after installing, and you can read/write NTFS partitions from your 10.4/10.5 :-)

You didn't run the EXE that comes on the drive.
I made the same mistake, but did a windows format before running it, so I lost the exe.

go in to add new hardware in control panel and run external drive ere from there use disc if u have one or go to vendor's support page and download driver's from there

yes U can recover it... plz download the registered version from the torrent site of software know as DATA DOCTOR RECOVERY .. this software will help you getting back you Data if you did not formated the Hard drive.. thank u for asking Question..
