The web says to try all 1's if you just bought the system. if you forgot your code. press the select button and 7444 that should reset the pass code and allow you to enter a new one if you want. wikihow.com taught me how to do this trick.

the PS2 does not have a wifi adapter native to the console. but if im missing something and you are just wanting to change the network password because you have the network adapter already or the slim PS2 which has the built in ethernet socket the PS2 manual states 'Put in Play Station 2 network disc' this should have the settings option on it to update the password.
the password set by factory is 9999 or either 1234 once you put that in you will be able to set it to your own password or either have it to where you don't use one.if you can.t get correct password go to factory defaults..hope this helps

Often, a combination of both letters and numbers works best, as the laws of statistics dictate that more choices equal more failed attempts at cracking the code. Unless your child is exceptionally persistent or lucky, boredom will win out before they guess the correct code.
