After changing ink cartridge, it will not print

After changing the ink cartridge, it will not print allign paper.
"Paper mismatch, replace media with pain paper."
I checked the paper, and it is ok. Pressed enter and it shoots out a blank paper with the same instructions.
" Mismatch, replace media with plain paper."
I powered it off, then back on with the same results.

SAME issues I have too!! I tried cleaning the printheads and realigning the printer, and it continually spits out the first paper and says either the 'paper mismatch' error, or "load plain paper'. This is the same paper I have always used, and all my cartridges are brand new

My Canon MP160 inkjet won't print. In trying to print a test page, I get the message that the ink absorber is full. What is the remedy for this?

A message display is common with insufficient ink cartrigges. Printers that perform several printing tasks is usually common to deplete the ink capacity. Alternately, installing an ink cartrige may have been a lasting duration possible need for a new cartridge replacement. However, perform a device functionality check by opening the compartments that contain replaceable materials. Ascertain the depleted material requiring replacement like ink, printing paper. Also, observe any malalligned materials like stuck printingn paper. Once every replaceable parts have been cleaned and restored, reconnecting the printer to the computer should request for an allignment functionality.

Hi. I cant get my printer to allign. I've just replaced the black ink cartridge and when i put the allignment page inside the scanner it wont scan

Did you try to align the unit manually or with the computer?

Alignment page does not print

1 Make sure you remove the sticker and transparent tape from both print

cartridges.

2 Make sure the color print cartridge is secure in the left carrier and the black

print cartridge is secure in the right carrier.
3 Make sure you loaded the paper correctly and did not force the paper into
the printer.

Aligning your print cartridges without a computer

Make sure you follow the steps on the Setup sheet to complete hardware

installation. Continue with the following steps to optimize print quality.

1 Make sure you have loaded paper into the paper support, and then press

and hold Scan for three seconds. For help, see "Using the control panel"

on page 4.

An alignment page prints.

2 Place the printed alignment page onto the scanner glass.

3 Press Scan. For help, see "Using the control panel" on page 4.

Once scanning is complete, your print cartridges are aligned for optimal
print quality.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.

I REPLACED MY INK CARTRIDGES. I WAS PROMPTED TO

Ignore the error and continue printing. The print job might still be acceptable even if the paper size and paper type settings are not an exact match.
  1. Press Enter on the control panel to clear the error message.
  2. Try the print job again.
  • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.
  • If the issue persists , continue to the next solution.
Use the HP product software, also known as the printer driver, to change the print settings for your paper size and type depending on your version of Microsoft Word.
    1. In Microsoft Word, click File , and then click Print .
    2. Make sure that your HP product is in the Name drop-down list box, and then clickProperties .
    3. Click the Features tab, or the Paper/Quality tab.
    4. Select a paper size from the Size drop-down list.If the required paper size is not in the drop-down list, follow these steps to create a custom paper size.
      1. Select Custom from the drop-down list.
      2. In the Custom Paper Size dialog box, type a name for the new custom size.
      3. In the Width and Height boxes, type the dimensions.
      4. Select the unit of measurement, and then click Save .
      5. Click OK to close the Custom Paper Size dialog box, and then click OKagain to close the Properties dialog box. NOTE: You must exit the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
      6. Open the Properties dialog box again, and then select the new custom size from the Size drop-down list.
    5. Select the paper type.
      1. In the Paper Type or Type is drop-down list, click More .
      2. Click the desired paper type, and then click OK .
    6. Select the paper source from the Paper Source drop-down list.
    7. Change any other settings, and then click OK to close the Properties dialog box.
    8. Try the print job again.
Paper mismatch errors occur because the printer scans the width of the paper before printing. If the paper size setting in the printer driver does not match the paper actually loaded in the printer, the printer reports a 'Paper Mismatch' or 'Paper too Narrow ' error. The error message might also display when you load the correct paper, just reinstall the printer driver if above procedure does not helps. Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

if the cartridges were out of the printer for any length of time the ink has dried up on the print heads. you most likely will have to replace the ink cartridges. then allign again before it will print correctly

HEEEEELP PRINTING PROBLEM

check your printer paper alignment. some times when the paper is out of range the head cannot find a place to print it and reports it as out of ink error. But actualy the problem will be with the sensor that alligns the paper automatically for you. you must manualy align the paper and in word go to page setting do all setting manually and try printing.

My printer will not pass an allignment

  1. Open the printer and remove and reinstall the same cartridges again (important)
  2. Ensure paper is loaded and the paper slider is correctly positioned against the edge of the paper
  3. When asked to allign, do so again
Hope this helps!

I changed the black ink cartridge as per instructions and the printer printed an alignment paper which i then placed in the printer for alignment but the alignment failed

the page should be absolutely new.and the scanner glass should be absolutely cleaned.and 1 main thing u replaced your black cartridge.but if your colour cartridge is empty it will not accept the allignment complete thing.it will show allignment failed as the particular colour is missing in your allignment sheet which is required to get the allignment complete.

Hp psc 2175 all in one printer keeps giving me a paper mismatch message.

Hello tabbeach. The printing cartridge align page message appears if u have any alignment job pending, if it asks to print the alignment page. Follow the steps provided here.
Still if u are facing the same issue, perform a HP Media sense caliberation , which in most cases will resolve the issue
the steps to perform media sense calibration are provided here .
