I am giving this answer from my experience
I am using Bitdefender total security since 2010 before that i had tried almost all antivirus in the market but everyone failed at some point but Bitdefender managed and doing it's best. It will never slow down your PC and sometimes its more harsh on viruses. If you know well to use it this is the best one. Try it and have virus free PC. First try free version and buy.

Whatever antivirus u use..... it should be updated .... use usb disk security antivirus from pen drive viruses

MY AVG internet security expired and I did not renew yet. Will my windows firewall be enough to protect me from virus, I do have it on AVG is off
