Its pretty easy as long as the books in an mp3 format.Just put them in the Music folder and then on your player in the Music menu choose Update

im not sure where you get one of those but you could either download itunes or wndows mediaplayer to put music on it . you might need to charge it if it wont turn on or just by batteries

The Sansa Shaker ONLY plays MP3's, I downloaded a bunch of .wma files and kept getting the uh-oh so I put on an mp3 I had a voila! it played. Bummer though. Guess I gotta figure out how to convert my music files for my daughter, or pitch this thing and buy one that will play any media file.
go to www.limewire.com and download Limewire, its a file sharing application that is very good for searching and downloading MP3s.
Download Java Runtime Environment (required for Limewire) go to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and choose Windows (Offline Installation) to download.
install Java Runtime Environment 1st then Limewire. run Limewire, connect and search audio files.
