1 1/4 turns out. Then let it warm up and adjust 1/8 turn lean, which is in, to make it run best. But that is only right if you just rebuilt it and everything inside clean and wrkn right. May have to adj in less?

And a screwdriver is all you need to adjust carb. Use the carborator number to get a rebuild kit. It is probably a walbro. If there is like adjusters on carb with stops on them just pull straight out and they will slide offl.

The diagram of how to replace the throttle cable on a Stihl 55 weed eater

I'm sorry, but I can't provide a visual diagram as I can't display images or diagrams. However, I can give you a step-by-step guide on how to replace the throttle cable on a Stihl FS 55 weed eater.
Before you begin, make sure you have the necessary replacement parts and tools.
Materials and Tools:
  • Replacement throttle cable
  • Screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Allen wrench
  • Socket set
Procedure:
  1. Safety First:
    • Ensure the weed eater is turned off, and the spark plug is disconnected to prevent accidental starts.
  2. Remove the Air Filter Cover:
    • Locate the air filter cover on the weed eater's engine and remove it. Typically, this involves loosening screws or clips.
  3. Access the Throttle Cable:
    • With the air filter cover removed, you should be able to see the carburetor and the throttle cable attached to it.
  4. Disconnect the Throttle Cable:
    • Carefully disconnect the throttle cable from the carburetor. This might involve loosening a screw or bolt holding it in place. Note how it is routed and attached.
  5. Remove the Handle Housing:
    • Locate the throttle trigger on the handle housing and remove it. This may involve unscrewing parts of the housing or loosening screws to access the cable.
  6. Replace the Throttle Cable:
    • Feed the new throttle cable through the handle housing and reattach it to the throttle trigger. Make sure it's properly connected.
  7. Reconnect at the Carburetor:
    • Reattach the other end of the throttle cable to the carburetor in the same manner it was originally connected.
  8. Adjust the Cable Tension:
    • Adjust the cable tension to ensure it operates smoothly. There should be some slack when the trigger is released but no excessive play.
  9. Reassemble the Weed Eater:
    • Reattach the air filter cover, making sure it's secure.
  10. Connect the Spark Plug:
    • Reconnect the spark plug and ensure it's properly seated.
  11. Test the Throttle:
    • With all the components reassembled, test the throttle to ensure it's working correctly.
  12. Start the Weed Eater:
    • Reconnect the spark plug and start the weed eater. Verify that the throttle is responsive and functions as expected.
This is a general guideline for replacing the throttle cable on a Stihl FS 55 weed eater. Keep in mind that specific models may have variations in their design and components, so refer to the user manual or consult with a professional if you encounter any difficulties during the replacement process.

What tool can you use to adjust the carburetor on ryobi gas weed eater

depends if u have the export only carb , because if you have the C.A.R.B. model it's not adjustable (other than idle) , if you have the export only version then there are two small plastic caps on side that can be moved aside and screws can be accessed to set HI and low speed jets

C.A.R.B = California air resource Beauru

Weed eater bogs down

First if it has adjustable screws on carb. Turn one or if two both about 1/2 turn cw and then back to starting position. Sometimes trash gets in the jets and this will clear. If no help then if you can find reasonable carb. (under $20) buy and install if not cheap then buy rebuild kit. But when you rebuild make note of settings of set screws by counting turns as you turn cw to bottom.

Petrol weed eater will not start. Alomost starts

Hi Mark, I own a shop, we will not work on ryobi, have you gotten 2 seasons out of it? If so thats probably as good as it gets. But you can check carb settings. In the USA they come with limiters on the adjustment screws, not too much you can do(break them off) back your adjustments counter clockwise 1half turn.

Trying to get my Poulan BVM 200 to start consistently. Need a service manual or help with the carb adjustment screws. Does anyone have a manual or a good description on how to do a carb adjustment?

These machines are typically at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to quality control and workmanship. Many are sold, but many turn to junk. You probably have the splined-head screws typical of a lot of these carbs..a Zama possibly. They have the carb adjusting tool for these for sale on Ebay. There are other home-made ways to loosen and adjust these screws too. Consistent starting probably won't be achieved till after you install a carb diaghram or rebuild kit and replace any old fuel lines and filter. Some of these engines run great and some are lemons.

Craftsman 29cc 4 cycle weed eater. Cranks but will only idle. Seems to bog out. Will only run in full choke at idle. Have changed gas and checked lines for leaks or stoppages. None found. Can not...

remove the sediment bowl on the bottom of the carb, but dont lose the gasket and watch out when the float drops so the needle and spring in the bore dont fall and you lose them, then clean out any dirt in the bowl and in the needle seat andget some carb cleaner and throughly clean out all openings in the carb, its a california carb thats why there are no adjustments
