Can't receive faxes from my fax machine. I can send out faxes but can't recieve any faxes in. I was told that My fax machine did not ring when someone was trying to send me a fax. They could dail my number but they cuoldn't hear my phone ringing but their number would show up on my fax machine. Please help me fix this problem!

your fax machine set to auto mode with the help of receive mode button of machine, this setting will give you automatic faxes.

The fax is designed for use with an answering machine, the greeting for which must be no longer than 15 seconds. If voice mail in this case is referring to answering machine, be certain that the message is as indicated.

Does the other party have a DSL phone line?

My Mode was wrong. I switched it to telephone and fax (instead of manual). Then i set the ring to pick up on the third ring. now i dont have to be here to press start everytime a fax comes. I found all the information by searching for the manual on line it is under "Basic fax settings"
