same problem

The bleep cold be just a bleep device separate from the speakers. It looks like a round piece of aluminum with a large dot of white solid past on it with a wire attached.
1st. make sure the volume is up all the way.
Then try using a headphone just to make sure the sound card is working.
If the headphones work then it should be a setting somewhere.
Sometime the switch that turns off the speakers when headphones are plugged in gets stuck, try plunging them in and unplugging them out while music is playing.
If they don't work the sound card may be blown but it is still possible it is not.
Also, try Keyboard shortcuts for mute and UN-mute.
Try going to control panel and bring up the sound app and try different options in there for mono and or what ever it has, you may find the answer there.
If the headphones work but nothing else works you can always plug external speakers in the headphone plug.

• Click Start
• type Device Manager in the search dialog box for vista and windows 7 (and for XP type devmgmt.msc) and then press ENTER.
• In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
• Locate the audio device that was included with your computer (Example. AC'97 audio controller or Realtek High Definition audio)
• Right-click the device, and then click Properties.
• Click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.
• reboot your pc

after the pc is rebooted the system automatically will install what you just uninstalled.

and try your sound to see is back to work

Hi,
Does the tape move when you press rewind or fast forward.
If the tape moves for a few seconds then bleeps it sound like a sensor problem.
If it only bleeps when the rewind and fast forward are pressed and the play is ok it sounds like the actuator motor is faulty,this motor enables the rewind and fast forward.

hello have you tried resetting it take power lead out of the back then reinsert it back in while doing this press and hold standby button on the front of the ps3 you will hear 1 bleep the 2 short bleeps after the short bleeps release the button it should reset fingers crossed
