You need to check lamp again, it may be not well mounted.

If you put a new Toshiba lamp either the new lamp is defective, or it had not monted in the right way. Ensure that the right part had been installed. The original Toshiba lamp costs nearly same price as projector. Here is an example of new lamp for sale, its price is over $300. Part number for the lamp is Part #:TLPLV1. If you bought an original Toshiba lamp you should have 90 days cashback warantee on the lamp. In this case take it back to retailer and get a replacement.

This international seller sells second hands parts for your device for a cheap price. Buy at your own risk if you want. Here is a part search with links to more seller. Your projector has only one lamp, and its RRP is over $400. Chech that the lamp you got it is well in place, if it is and is giving you the mentioned error msg., then either lamp is faulty, is not well installed, or is not right lamp for your model.

Toshiba TLP S30 projector

HI,

Make sure the lamp cover is in place as it has a plunger on it which closes a switch . If the switch is open you will never power on. With the cover remover you can manually activate the switch too and it will power up.

For more troubleshooting steps you can see the user manual from HERE

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution.

yes resetting the lamp hour might be the issue but not necessarily. It could also be a temperature issue as the fan (s) might have stopped or a temp sensor issue is faulty. check your manual for resetting lamp hours. Regards Kevin Andreassend www.iceav.co.nz [email protected]
