Hi,

If you are referring to the presets tuner station settings being deleted when powered off and or the clock resetting its time, then you have to verify that the Pioneer DEH-P580MP is wired as follows:
Black - chassis/body ground/GND
Yellow - always on/constant B+12 such as the + terminal of the battery;
Red - switched on B+12 such as the ACC of the IGN switch.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Pioneer DEH-P580MP radio muted, can not cancel.

there is a short somewhere. check your speaker wire on the stereo to make sure none of them are shorted. also, check the speakers to make sure none of the speakers themselves are short (shorted voice coil). disconnect one speaker at-a-time to find the shorted speaker.

Unfortunately for you, this Head Unit does not have the function you want.
The display is green by the factory, and the type of display installed cannot be changed or customized.

Thanks for using FixYa - a FixYa rating is appreciated!!

Can not get stereo in aux mode

it sounds like they've disconnected the battery on you and reset the unit.with the unit powered up (key on) If you turn off the radio by holding the source button then press and hold the function button (the round one that adjusts the volume) it takes a few seconds.......Note if you turn or move it up down or to either side it won't work. the menu will come up to change various settings including turning on the aux function.
Hope this helps!

Orange = Illumination

Some vehicles have an illumination signal that tells the stereo when your headlights are turned on so that it can dim the display (to help keep from being blinded by overly bright stereo displays at night). If you don't have that signal, don't connect the stereo wire to anything.
