If the battery is new the software on the phone may be set incorrectly.
Batteries (of ALL kinds) have limited lifetime, and it seems like your has reached to it's end!
I recommend you change the battery with a new one.
Proper care of the batteries may help extending it's lifetime. Keep the cellphone in a cooled temp. (if possible) and try no to overcharge the battery too often (means, disconnect when battery's full!).
I think you're not having a battery problem, especially if it's a new phone. I had that same exact phone, and what happens it that it keeps noticing that the battery is dying out, but if you turn it back on, it will show battery again! It's a firmware problem that affects some some LG Viewtys. You can test that if you charge your battery to the max, and it randomly shuts down due to battery shortage, then if you turn it back on, it shows battery, then you have to replace the phone!
It's common, especially in damp/humid areas, for battery contacts to build up a layer of corrosion over time. You may or may not be able to see the corrosion, but it can prevent your battery from fully charging, and cause it to discharge quickly. Before you replace your battery, remove it, wipe the battery contacts and the phone contacts firmly with a clean dry cloth, then reinstall and charge the battery. If this doesn't help, it's time for a replacement.

Engine stalls cold or RPM
fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.
This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If the above cleaning doesn't cure your issues you need to have the computer controlled automatic idle speed control system diagnosed and repaired by a dealer or electronic engine control repair shop.
