for sure 20 years old as no PDF manuals existed long ago or rare.

try asking maker for direct support for sure manuals.
they will ask you what country but not told you.

codes listed on inside of door panel or owners manual.

split air cons come in both configurations and are mostly in the last few years with inverter systems
you can get cooling only or cooling and heating systems
some brands only have the cooling only on the smaller units ( 8000 btu units)

More info needed. Is this a one-piece unit or a mini-split? Model number, any error codes, etc. More info will help

Please ensure with your model/brand and error code. To my knowledge and web search, I don't find tour model on market. Don't be angry, plz check once again and write back.

yOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE THE SERIAL AND MODEL NUMBERS. The factory technician will ned those at the least.Look up the Midea on the internet and get the factory rep to explain the warranty or the dealer you purchased the unit. Good Luck

Most heat pumps are 'fail-safe to heat'. That is: the normal position of the valve which reverses the function is in the position which provides heat. The reversing valve must be powered to switch to the cooling position.

Although the lack of valve function could be a mechanically defective reversing valve - it's more likely to be an electrical issue. Start with checking for power at the reversing valve's coil. If it's powered unpower it - you will be able to hear the reversing valve distinctively
