The metal thingy is used to roughen up the tube, where the patch will go, so the glue will stick. The glue may have instructions on it, but place glue onto the patch and the tube and let it dry for a few minutes, then place patch over hole.
when refitting the tube, sprinkle some powder on it around the patch and inside the tyre, make sure you have removed whatever caused the initial puncture. Try to refit the tyre without using any levers, so you dont pinch the tube again

Repair hole

i use cheap contact cement (dollar store tube works fine) and a bike tire inner tube (much better than crummy patch the give you) and apply some glue around hole and on bottom of patch, apply it smoothly, and aplly glue around edges (seams ) of patch. let dry for 2 days, if your using the transparent patch its like a sticker peel and smooth it on and let it dry for 2 days( in my opinion and experience they ****)

SMALL HOLE BOTTOM OF 15 x 4 metal frame pool. believe a small pebble caused it. water leaking out is there a way to save the poolwithout draining and taking it apart?

Try this....
You will need;
Pool liner patch kit
Goggles
Body weight to hold you down while doing repair under water.

Most liner repair kits have instructions on wet applications. Cut a piece of the liner kit fabric to cover the entire hole plus at least 1/2" around. You will need to dive in with a mask/goggles to see the hole. Put a thin layer of glue on the patch and spread evenly.. Fold in half on the glue side and go down to the bottom of the pool. Note...The weights will help you stay at the bottom for this part of the repair.. QUICKLY!!! while holding the patch next to the hole. open the patch and place on the hole and push firmly for a few seconds. Come up and place your foot on the patch and hold for 3 minutes or so. Should work...It took me several times to master this technique when I had a hole at the bottom of my pool... Caution!!! You don't need a lot of weight to stay at the bottom. Test from light to heavy until you think you have enough to do the repair..
Good luck and hope this will help you!! If this works for you, please rate!

Back wheels keep deflating

hi, the chances are you have a puncture os something sharp sticking into the inner tube inside the tyre, what you need to do is buy a puncture repair kit then using the repair kit you take the tyre off the wheel then take the inner tube out.
now blow the inner tube up and place it in bowl of water and you should see bubbles coming off the inner tube, mark this with pen when dry so you know where the whole is, now use the puncture kit and place a patch over the whole, you can buy glue type patches or stick on patches without glue, you peel the back off the patch and put glue on or stick it over the whole if its a stick on patch and not glue.

then whilst this dry run your fingers around the inside of the tyre and check for any thorns or something sharp sticking in the tyre if you feel anything remove it and you should be ok, then when glue dry put the inner tube back in tyre and fit the tyre back on wheel now when you pump it up it shouldnt go back down unless you get another puncture.

if you are unsure what you are doing then taking your stroller into any bike shop and ask them to repair the punctures for you and they will do this for you whilst you wait.

How do you fix a leak to a 15x48 swimming pool without emptying all the water? it's a small leak on a seam near the ground.pool has been up a week & no leak, until tonight?

They make underwater patch kits that are very simple to use. You cut a patch and apply glue, fold the patch in half with the glue faceing in. take it to the leak and slowley unfold against the hole. smooth out and make sure edges are sealed down. Keep pressure on the patch as instructed on package. Then let cure. Good luck.

Small rip in treadmill belt

No really. You need to replace the entire walking belt. Not to hard of a job and most replacement belts come with some instructions. We use www.treadmillpartszone.com for parts.

How to repair a flat tire?

hi!

to find the hole, try to fill the tire with air, and put it on a shallow water were it's enough for you to see the bumbles that come out from the tire.

to repair a flat tire, take out the interior of tire and if you happen to see the location of the hole try to find an unused rubber and cover the hole with that rubber and glue it with a quick drying glue... (this is a non-professional work)
