Changing headlight bulbs on a 1998 plymoutyh breeze. from the rear? not much room to get hands in.

Instructions

1. • Open the RAV4's hood and locate the headlight bulbs plugging into the rear of the headlight assemblies. Each assembly has two bulbs, one outer and one inner. Unplug the wiring harness from the rear of the burnt-out headlight, by pressing the locking button and pulling down on the harness.
   • 2Grab the rear of the bulb and rotate the bulb about a quarter turn counterclockwise to unlock it. Pull the bulb from the headlight assembly.

   • Grab a new 9005 (high beam) or 9006 (low beam) bulb by its plastic base. Insert the bulb in the rear of the headlight assembly, lining up the tabs on the bulb with the notches in the headlight assembly, and twist it clockwise to lock the bulb in place. Do not touch the glass part of the headlight bulb, as the oils from your hands can cause the bulb to fail prematurely.
     
   • 4Plug the wiring harness into the receptacle on the rear of the bulb
     

how you doing. you have to pull the plastic clips behind the lights up and off bye hand or plyers. Should be 2 or 3 yes its a pain but has to be done. Then you can pull the headlight housing out to replace the bulb. hope this helps you. [email protected]

there is very little room to gain access to the bulb from behind the headlight assembly.if you remove the plug for the headlight and then slide your hands down on either side of the bulb.there is a lock ring that you must remove(unlock)first.then pull the bulb out and install the new bulb and reassemble in reverse order.NOTE don`t touch the bulb glass with your hands or it can burn out prematurely from the oil on your skin.

Drivers side? reach your hand by the alternator and over to the back of the headlight. You'll feel round rubber covers, pull this out and twist the bulb out.

Passengers side- take the aircleaner top off and move the air cleaner out of the way. Then you have a ton of room to change this bulb.

This is kind of challenging. The headlight bulb is a rear mount, meaning the bulb has to come out of the back. In order to do this you need to remove the headlight assembly from the car ( open the hood and take out the retaining screws holding each assembly in place). Once you have the assembly out it is relatively easy to install new bulbs. The bulbs are Halogen and you should not touch the glass with your hands, since your body oil will cause a hot spot on the bulb and make it burn out. It is best to wipe the bulb with a cotton rag and rubbing alcohol as this will remove all oils on the bulb.

Hello, I can help you with this. There are 3 different ways to change the bulb. Method 1 If you have skinny arms and small hands, (I can't do it this way but I've seen it done), you can push the brake cooling duct at the front bumper down and back and reach inside and grab the bulb socket from there. Method 2, MANUALLY raise the headlight about halfway up, ( don't use the switch, it will auto-close after 15 minutes and you don't want your hand caught when it lowers), and remove the headlight surround shroud, that will give you enough room to reach the turn signal bulb socket. Method 3, remove the plastic panel underneath the car directly below the turn signal and reach up. Whichever way you decide on just grab the socket and turn clockwise to loosen the socket.

to change passenger side headlight bulb,on 04 plate yaris, remove bulb cover at rear of lamp,take off fuse box,although this only gives you slightly more room,and have someone with small hands,replace bulb,as it is nearly impossible if you have large hands.It is awkward but can be done,EVENTUALLY.

these bulbs go in from behind the headlight assy. from under the hood look at the back of the headlight and locate the wiresgoing to the back of the headlight you can turn the connector or pull it out gently then turn the back of the bulb to remove it replacement is the reverse-- don't touch the glass of the new bulb, handle it by the base-fingerprints will shorten the life of a bulb of this type some parts stores will sell you the bulb and replace it for you if its not to hard for them-- too difficult then the automotive center at wally world or k mart will replace it for a fee

no!!!! its difficult, but possible... the headlights have a rubber cover over the wiring harness. pull it off, un plug the harness, and there is a metal wire bracket, hard to explain, if you check out the driver side first (easier to access) the other side should be a breeze. hope this helps

It's been awhile since I've dealt with that particular model, but similiar models that were close to the same year didn't require the removal of the headlight. Access to change the bulb was obtained from the rear of headlight by squeezing clips together and turning at the same time counterclockwise (don't know how much access you'll have though on battery side). After that locking plastic holder is removed (assuming already unplugged b4 turning that is) slightly turn with minimal effort and should come right out.
