if it still wont open then the door interlock has frozen up
and youll need to pry it open
best leave this too a tech
its a grim job anyway

REVERSING DOOR SWING
Your dryer is designed so the door swing may be reversed at any time without additional parts. Conversion is accomplished by transferring hinges to the opposite side of the cabinet.
To change the direction of the door opening:
1. Open the dryer door. Remove the four hinge hole plugs from the left side of the door opening. Place nearby for future installation. NOTE: You may need a plastic knife to help pull out the plugs. Be careful not to scratch the paint.

2. Remove the four screws that secure the door hinges to the dryer front panel (see below). NOTE: Remove one screw from each of the two hinges first. Hold the door firmly before removing the last two screws.

3. Rotate the door 180° and reinstall the door hinges to the dryer front panel with the four screws.

4. Install the four hinge hole plugs in the open screw holes on the right side of the door opening.

open the bottom panel by unscrewing 3 screws. reach up towards the door lock and pull a level to manually unlock the door.

nope only the dryer doors are reversable..last washer to have reverable door that i know of was old neptune

probably door lock or door strike on door itself ..easy change pull spring off door boor roll boot out of the way remove screws holding door lock in place ..pull toward opening remove wire connections reinstall in reverse ..boot spring can be tough but no big thing

Electrolux has a reversible door for both front load washer and dryer. Just found that out at HHGregg because we need to put our washer to the right of the dryer, and none of the other makes will allow the washer door swing to be switched.

The door can be reversed on the dryer but not the washer.
To reverse the washer, the door latch and wiring harness would have to be relocated, which is not practical from a manufacturing standpoint.
