First start is excellent when cold, will not restart again warm

I have a Toro Personal Pace mower, Model 20041, with electric start, I have installed a new spark plug RJ19LM, new oil and air filter 491588S, the first start is excellent when cold, after stopping to empty the bag, the mower will not restart. What is wrong ? How can i fix it ? What should i adjust ? What should i replace ? The mover is only four years old purchased from Home Depot. Is it under warrenty for free repair or replacement ?

It sounds as if your engine may be getting too hot. I suggest that you check under the covers and make sure that all the debris is cleaned out. These are air cooled engines and as such need to be kept relatively clear of debris, especially anywhere there are cooling fins.

There is either a fault with the push start switch, the starter relay or starter solenoid. Take it in for service, or you local dealer will probably collect and return it.

Toro Personal Pace mower button pushed and held x3. Needed gasoline after 15 mins of mowing so stopped and refueled then it wouldn't start again (just used electric start switch).
Starter teeth may be hung in flywheel.

Toro personal pace mower will not stay started?
If ir starts and runs for only a few seconds it's a dirty carb/bad gas. Drain the fuel system and use FRESH gas; change out your fuel supply monthly to avoid "phase separation" issues. If it runs for several minutes and then dies it is possibly a sticking valve. Do a compression check cold and after it stalls to confirm. Hope this helps

Toro Model 20041 sputters and stalls out; If I cover the primer bulb the engine will rev up and run. Also the mower won't start unless I clean the spark plug. What do I need to do?
Most likely you'll have to remove the bowl nut, under the carb's bowl. You'll most likely find varnish in the jet, or maybe water. These are some typical jets, Tecumseh. Briggs, similar (baymee Lehigh Valley PA, 2009).

New toro personal pace. Smokes a ton when first initally starting after overnight rest. Sometimes even afer mowing a few lawns it might not start then if let sit for a while will start again
Sounds like a piston ring or valve issue. If it is still under warranty, I'd think about a return.

How do you replace the belt
this is not easy you have to turn the mower on its side <make sure the carb is down > take off the blade belt guide and look at it the space is really tight and you have to hold the trans with two fingers and then walk the belt on. its hard because the trans is spring loaded to twist backwards to keep the belt tight

Toro electric start won't start manually
If it doesnt start manually,you have another issue to deal with. Whether it has electric start or not you should be able to manually pull start it. You can also get the model and serial number off the engine and contact your nearest toro dealer to have charger and key ordered. As far as a push button,it can be done,just a matter of finding someone to install one for you.
