For your new computer to connect to the D-Link wireless router, the wireless card in your new computer needs to be configured with the D-Link's wireless settings ie. the SSID and WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryption key.
If you still have the old computer, then check the wireless card settings and configure the new computer's wireless card with these settings.
The other way to get the D-Link's wireless settings is to connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to the computer's LAN port, open a browser and enter the D-Link's configuration URL. then login and password. Then go to the wireless settings to get this information or change the settings.

We transferred to a new home and a new dsl account. I've reset my netgear wgr614v5 to its default settings and reconfigured it to access but now it only works for pc's that are wired into the ports....

When you reset the router the default setting for encryption is probably off. Hopefully you had encryption on in the old home - but now the wireless computers are still trying to connect using the key/encryption.

The lights on the receiver of my mouse are out and

Try connecting the wireless receiver into another USB ports of the computer or maybe try different computer, if the light did not turn on, then you need to contact the manufacturer and RMA the device.

Defective wireless receivers could be repaired. Buying a new one would just cost you money. Try to go for a repair first before deciding in getting a new one.

Thank you!
