I need to reinstall my 3300 serries Averatec however I was not supplies a cd when purchased it

Go to the Averatec site and select driver downloads and see if there is a bios update for your model.

Did the manufacturer supply you with a reinstall disc? if so pop it in and follow the onscreen instructions to reinstall.

If you were not supplied one, then there is quite possibly an application on your laptop to reinstall windows, have a look in the start menu for something.

Short of that you will need to obtain a windows install disk from somewhere with which you can use your windows product code.

The SMART is the monitoring system that is embedded in all hard disks - if it reports a failure it means that the hard disk has died. You need to replace the disk and only after that you can reinstall.

have to purchase new unless you still have your key numbers a computer store can do then or if you know someone with a xp cd to re-install

Here is TriGem's site (they make Averatec laptop).
I see the 3200, 3300 series among other models, but I did not see the 3100 series laptop. Drivers from the 3200 may work.

No unfortunately. You will have to purchase an XP retail CD or call Averatec for a replacement disk. It is illegal to post Windows install disks for free download. Sorry.
Maybe there is someone you know that has the same version on XP you do and you could reinstall from their disks and use your license # for activation. Unfortunately the drivers for your machine will not be on their CD and you will have to go to the Averatec support site to get the appropriate drivers for your model computer.

The installation cd is on a seperate partition of your hard drive. If you are wanting to reinstall everything follow these instructions
I have the same computer.
You dont need a disk- but do the following:-
1) Turn on your computer. 2) Press F4 repeatedly until you see the recovery program 3) Click - application on the left pane 4) then follow instructions on screen. That it.
