My ps3 turns on fine but i think there is something wrong with the audio video outlet. bcuz no video or sound is coming on. i have tried it on multiple tvs and i have tried two different chords so it must be the console. any help?

Try plugging something like a dvd or vcr into those ports of the TV, that will tell you if the tv is reading the PS3 wrong or the video is dead on your TV.

First thing to try is a video reset.

While the PS3 is off (red solid light) hold down the power button until you hear the SECOND beep, quickly release the power button.

Page 18 of the manual will walk you thru the audio setup. It has Digital auto, Digital, Analog auto, Analog. Once this is set you should be fine, if you still have an issue, post a comment and I will help you further. Hope this helps

hi there try using the ps3 as audio-cd play(blind, without screen)
with any other tv to make sure soun still is coming...
if there was a flash or circuit destroyíng the yellow(video)plug,
either the cable has been destroyed or the short backfired even into the video module of the psx3.
try exchanging the cable, if that doesn't do any good, the video module got smoked...

let a technician repair/replace it or you think about becoming the happy owner of another brand new psx3

try holding down the power buttan on console till it bleeps 2 times then let go

the laser is starting to wear out. it cant reda the audio fast enuf to keep up with the visual side of the game resulting in crackling momentary hissing or cutting out of music

there is either something wrong wit the tv or the ps3

hold down the power button and reset the video settings, it will beep 2 times when finnished.

so it must be a problem in the circulation of the power in the ps3 ....so i think dat ur power supply of ur ps3 must be damaged or there's something in the power cable so try to contact sony for more useful information ....but there isn't any other solution .....u may buy a new power cable or u can change the power supply
