New tv's don't use dead channels like 00 anymore for there inputs.. They use sources to change from different inputs.. Make sure you have your ps2 hooked up into input plugs on the tv and then turn it on the ps2 then look on the new controller for the tv & find a button saying source .. Press that until you see your ps2 on the screen. If not check your connections try again.
Today I bought the Phillips SRU5107/27 Universal Remote Control and I was able to programmed my intec PS2 Remote Control. This control has the "learn" feature and you can program every single button and feature of your Intec.
you use the game controller from the PS2 to play a DVD or if you have a DVD remote specifically for the PS2, you can use that instead of the game controller. hope this helps ;p
One of two things may be occurring. The first is the remote address on the remote may have changed some how. The way to reset it is to press and hold the SAT button on the top left side of the remote until all lights across the top illuminate. Now key in 01 and press the pound sign on the bottom right of the remote. The SAT button will flash three times. Now try to operate the system using the remote. If you aren't sucessful your remote may be bad or the remote address of the receiver may not be what initially was recorded. Please let me know if you are unsuccessful or sucessful. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Try them on another playstation 2. If the same problem occurs, then the controllers probably or broken. Did it get banged around a lot? Is the cord ruptured or something?
Hopes this helps!
Removed accumulated dust sticking on the board were the buttons touches.use cotton balls with alcohol or use
clean damp cloth. If nothing's happen check the cord I'm sure it is twisted badly, open your ps2 use this controller and try to twist back the twisted cord if it stopped sometimes when your twisting it then you have to replaced the cord(make sure that your using the original ps2 controller not imitation)pls. rate
I would say either give the controlers to a specialist to take it apart or buy new controlers because mabye somthing inside is bugging up the controlers recive port
