Rac satnav215 my maps have been erased from my sd card how or where can i get them from. the unit is a rac 215

The map must be named "gmapsupp.img" on the SD card and not "gmapprom.img" like on the internal memory of the unit.

Is that SD card have maps on it?

Did you check to see if the SD card is listed in the maps and chosen or looking for the old map?

With the SD card out turn on the unit

GO to your map... in my nuvi i have to go in this way

Tools..... Settings.....Maps.... on screen press Map Info

Is there a check mark there in City Navigator No American NT

That is the map your unit is looking at....... if you add your SD card now and want to use that map put card in unit it should pop up

Make sure that only the SD card will have a check mark to use that map
....

If you already have a map on your unit, you will have both maps. You may have to enable the map on the SD card. At the main menu, press the wrench symbol, then the map icon and then "map info". You should see all of your maps that are available to your unit. Make sure that the square boxes next to each map are checked. Thats how you turn on/off (selct) each map. If the SD card map isn't working, make sure it has a unlock code assigned to the map or it won't work on your unit. Also, the map file name on an SD card is different than the name on your unit. - Jim

reason being you may not have an SD card inserted with maps otherwise your maps have been deleted. try running the map update on the unit and it should reinstall the maps for you... if the SD card is not missing you may have a faulty SD card or SD card slot.

If you don't have the discs, you can buy new maps from Garmin.com

on menu touch tools, maps, map info, tick the box, you may need unit I.D. and serial number.

tap on the wrench, tap on map, tap on about map, there you should see the base map checked, and the Europe map unchecked, uncheck the us map and check the europe map by tapping on the check box. leave the menu.

Yust go to www.mapwel.biz/down.htm get software MapUpload and now you can upload any map to micro sd card without loosing your existing map.

In order to access the DNX7100's bulit in SD card slot, you have to press the CD/DVD eject button for about 5 secs. It will fold down to reveal the SD slot. This slot is only used for Software and Map updates via a SD Card.
