No color picture on any DVD played

Scroll through the different video settings on the Bravia....It should show up.

my dvd player only plays movies back in black and white...not color. why?

The yellow is usually the video connector the the other two connectors would be for the right and left channel sound hook-ups.Hope this helps you with you problem.

I have a remote for the CH-DVD 300. I'm about to toss the player because of a bad power supply board. I think I'll follow the advise of a previous post - buy American or at least Japanese!

Does moving the button or mode restore the picture?

good luck, cyber home dvd players are wierd.... a friend of mine bought one, took the dvd out and it still played the movie for a little bit...

I had the same problem, After googling for a few minutes I found the reset procedure for this player.

1. Turn it on.
2. Eject any disk you have in there and close the tray.
3. Hold down the "STOP" button on the player (not remote) until the green light flashes red and the system reboots.
4. Insert disk and enjoy.

This worked for me... mileage may vary.
