What causes our front loading washer to make exceeding loud noise when it enters a spin?

Sounds like a bearing seal is going. The seal has ruptured and grease of seeping out. The loud noise is the bearings rubbing against each other without adequate grease to reduce the friction. Failure will come soon if it is not fixed. The vibration is coming from the friction and possibly damaged ball bearings .

My whirlpool duet washer hammers very loud when it spins. The outside of the machine doesn't seem to vibrate much but it is very loud.

That is a common occurrence with dryers such as this one. Even though it sounds bad, it is harmless. If it really bothers, you can re-balance the load and it should reduce the vibration.

Maytag mav6057aww makes loud noise while spinning

Is it a scraping sound or more of a rumbling sound? If it's scraping check for screws, nails, necklaces, etc., in the drain holes of the basket. If rumbling sound your tub bearings may be failing.

Whirlpool washer making loud noise when spinning

It sounds like you need a bearing job. The bearings in the back half of the wash tub go bad. and the washer gets loud .It's an expensive repair. I hope this helps

Maytag washer noise

Hello, If its making a loud squeeking/scraping noise, in my maytag that i repaired, the problem was the waterpump. If you turn the washer on it's side, you will see that it has a belt with three pully's on the bottom. One pulley is connected to the waterpump and right where the pulley meets the metal plate it's connected to, there should be a gold2_bing.gif coupling. This coupling sometimes comes loose and scrapes the metal plate on spin cycle (when the pulley is spinning) which causes the scraping/squeeking sound. If this is the case, you will see where the coupling has scraped a groove into the metal plate. The coupling will eventually catch while spinning and break entirely. The cheapest new water pump is $80.

Thanks

Makes loud rattling sound in spin cycleloud and

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Washer makes loud scraping sound

Could very well be the pump as well. These pumps have been notoriously bad for the pully shaft housing slipping down and hitting the pump pully. More that likely your problem.
