Hello. I have a 5-year-old Magic Chef large capacity top-loader that has been a reliable, great unit. For the last year, it has been getting out of balance quite frequently. I'm always very careful to properly balance each load I do, and not to overload it. Does the machine's tub need to be "tightened" or something, or is this a sign that it's reaching the end?
It is a sign that the dampeners on the ends of the tub suspension or support rods have failed
A pack of 4 cost around $80.00 and with a technician doing the job can be done in 15 minutes
with you doing the job , around 1 hour unless you can get the spares people to explain how it is done
get the spares from the service agent spares
any unbalance gets out of control unless it is got under control very early and that is what these dampeners are designed to do and 4-5 years is the design life expectancy

you have to open it,at the bottom of the drum it has a either clear or black plastic hose that goes to pump held together with pressure clips remove them water will flow then ,it also will flood the aerea around it,so plenty of soil to soak it up
