So I woke up this morning and for some reason my blackberry curve 8330 was off and wouldn't turn back on, so I took the battery out and put it back in and turned it on. Then I was no longer getting emails so I deleted my email account and added it again. Now I get my emails but I don't get the little red star to indicate that I have a new email. It will show up on the general messages folder but not on my email icon. Any ideas?
SOURCE: Unlock code for blackberry curve 8330
If it's asking for a subsidy code, call your provider or visit a store. They can take care of this for you. If you are trying to unlock the phone and jump to another carrier, you may have to go to a third-party (non-corporate) phone store and have them unlock it with special software.
SOURCE: accidentally deleted camera icon
I don't think you can actually "delete" the icon for the camera, at least not using the handset. You probably only "hid" it. Try hitting the option button and then select "show all" you should then see the camera icon but slightly grayed out/transparent. go to it and then uncheck the hide option. You can then de-select show all and you should be good to go. If this does not fix it and you did actually delete the camera function, let me know so I can walk you through that detailed process.

The blackberrys link to outlook and not their own calendar/contact manager. If you have outlook at home, you should be able to use the desktop manager software to sync with that.
SOURCE: reset to factory specs for blackberry curve 8330
Hi,
how to reset the Curve back to factory state (a
complete wipe-out). Please note if you just want to reboot the device,
you only need to take out the battery.
To reset the phone back to factory state:
Go to Options -> Security Options -> General Settings
Press the BlackBerry Menu key and select "Wipe Handheld" and type in "blackberry"
Thanks.

This was a problem that perplexed me for a while too. Ultimately I learned that the curve has several different folders for different email addresses. This also includes a message folder for all messages. First go to the Home Screen and press the menu / Blackberry button. Select "Show All". Now scroll through until you see the offending folder indicating there is a message there. Delete that message and you should be back to normal. My problem had been a saved unread message in the saved messages folder that wasn't being displayed initially. That should take care of your problem!
