I understand that the main purpose of ash-pots, trays, and pans is to keep any smoking area clean. However, I am against the idea that this item should look like a cheap, disposable thing. An ashtray can and should be an attractive decorative element in any home or office. website

None of my cigar lighters are working in my 95 e150 conversion van, the fuses all look good

replace the lighters themselves,if you use them for cigars, they get really hot and if you put them away b4 they cool, you will melt the wiring on the vback, pull them apart to check or try replacing just the handheld unit

My cigarette lighter isn't working? Can it be a burned out fuse?

The fuse could be burnt out, the lighter coil could be burnt out, or the hot wire or ground could be loose.

Cigarette lighter not working, already change fuze for 2002 4door explore, what to check now?

use a test light on cigar lighter, put probe in center of socket and the ground on outside of cigar socket or any other good ground. if power to socket, this will tell you if the cigar socket is bad and needs replaced. if it has power and lighter does not work, then its the heating element itself thats bad, the part that heats up! good-day !

2002 cadillac, front cigar lighter stoped working, rear one works and i checked fuses and only found 1 marked cigar lighter and its fine. I took rear one out and put it in front and still nothing, put front...

If you are refering to the 40 Amp "CIGAR" fuse under the left rear seat, this is the "main" fuse for the lighters. There are 2 more in the engine compartment fuse block. They are marked "C/LTR 1" and C/LTR 2". They are both 20 Amp fuses.

How do I replace the cigarette lighter housing?

The cigar lighter is installed from the back of the center trim panel.

To remove the center trim panel, open the ash tray and pull out on each lower corner. It will be hard the 1st time you remove the spring clips. Once the lower part is released, work your way up to the top, there are 3 spring clips on each side of the center trim panel. ( circled in black in the picture below )
When you get to the top, be careful how far out you pull, the Passenger airbag deactivation light is at the top, with 2 small wires to it. ( circled in green )

Once you have the center panel released, you can remove the HVAC connector ( clamp over type connectors ) or work on it in the truck.

Remove the cigar lighter connector, and release the locking tabs on the cigar lighter body. Pull the lighter plug through the front of the panel.

Simply need to know if there is a secondary fuse box in my 95 vw golf gti or at least a secondary radio fuse. I am having difficulties getting power to my ignition wire for the stereo

Their are three wires that should be hot to the radio plug the lights on wire the all the time wire and the key on wire. Your saying that the key on wire doesn't work but the other two are good. The number 20 fuse 10 amp is the cigar lighter and the key on power if the cigar lighter works the fuse is good the trunk opener works on the same fuse.

Cigarette lighter not working, already changed fuse

Look in your manual for the Power Distribution Box reference in Roadside Emergencies. It should be located under the hood on the driver's side. My 2002 Explorer has two power points on the center console and the 20A fuses in the Power Distribution Box for them are number 7 and number 9. They cost $3.99 each at AutoZone. The cigar lighter fuse under the dash is unrelated.

04 tahoe check engine light on,tried to check with scanner, but no power to obd2 connector.

Check all the fuses with a 12 volt test light. Also does the cigar lighter work many times the same fuse that is for the cigar lighter also powers up the obd 2 connector.
