Necchi 4575 feed dogs won’t work does not push material through

If you raise the presser foot, set the stitch length to a 3 or higher, then slowly press the foot control, can you see the feed dogs rise, move backward, then drop and come forward again? If they are not moving, the feed dogs have seized. If they are moving but do not rise above the needle plate, then you have them disengaged.

If they are seized, resist the temptation to run the machine anymore until you can get it serviced. It could damage the motor causing more repair cost.

If they are disengaged (dropped), then you need to find the control lever or dial that engages them.

Feed dog on Necchi 681c has drop, how do I fix it?

A lot of machines have a control knob/lever that raises and lowers the feed dogs. However, remember that when the control is activated, the feed dogs will not rise until the machine actually begins to stitch.

If the feed dogs do not rise, then there is most likely a problem and needs to be serviced.

Sewing machine belt for necchi 524FB

Check with a sewing machine repair shop. Bring the old belt with you, if possible. Otherwise, be sure to have the make & model number with you.

I have a Necchi 537FA and I want to know what the knob (on the right hand side) with the dot and knit symbol does. This knob is the last one on the right hand side. Thanks in advance for the help.

I suspect the knob on the lower right hand side is the feed dog knob. The "knit" symbol is for the feed dog. One setting drops the feed dogs so you can move the fabric yourself, ie free motion quilting. The other setting raises the feed dogs so the machine will feed the fabric for you.

to find a manual, Search the internet:
Brand + Model + the word "Manual"

Feet not feeding and thread bunching up

the presser foot or what ever foot your sewing with does not feed the
fabric,, the feed dogs in the needle plate are what moves the fabric
to be sewed, the feet only hold the fabric against feed dog so the
machine can use the needle to sew the fabric.
if the fabric is not moving then the feed dogs have to be checked
can you see the feed dogs in the needle plate area are the up or
down?
do you have a manual for the machine?
a manual help to know where the feed dog lever is, I'm sending
you a link for a manual for the machine, so you can look for the feed
dog lever, if the feed dogs are up then there is something wrong
with the feed dogs & they need to be checked.
but if the feed dogs are down then look in the manual & see where
the feed dog lever is & put it in the up position & see if that brings
the feed dogs up to the sewing position, if the feed dogs do not
come up then the feed dogs need to be checked.

I have a necchi model 575FA, and the needle will not advance any idea why?

if the sewing machine is not sewing & staying in one spot the that means the feed dogs are not working properly.
I also have a necchi sewing machine, check the needle plate area that's where the feed dogs are, if the feed dogs are up where you can see them & even feel them with you fingers when you rub your fingers over the needle plate area, if you can't see them good or feel them, then they are not up,,my instruction book shows that you have to remove the extension table, their should be a small door in front of the needle plate area to open that's where the feed dogs are if they are not in the up position, where you can sew, if they are in the down position move the lever to the opposite direction & see if that help the machine to sew, if it make makes no difference which position there in , then it's possible something is wrong with the feed dogs & the machine needs to be serviced

My necchi mod.910 i cannot get the machine to do zigzag stitch, and straight stitching is a problem - i have to pull the material in order for it to move

The Necchi machine has a lever in the bobbin area that lets you move the feed dogs up and down. If you accidentally moved that, the feed dogs are in the down position and won't feed the fabric forward. Make s ure you can feel the feed dogs slightly above the plate. If they aren't move the lever until they do. :)

Bobbin case on my 524fb necchi has come apart

Almost all Necchi use a class 15 bobbin & bobbin case, a new case should cost around 7 to 10 dollars!

Very old Necchi sewing machine - sews in place

sounds like the feed dogs may be down or not working. Watch to see if the little teeth are moving under the pressure foot when you stitch( try to run unthreaded and with foot up no fabricto check) May be a button to turn up the feed dogs.
