Hi, I have an Olympus FE-150 which kept coming up with the error XD picture error on a blue screen, which would then delete the photos I had taken. Now the camera has totally just seized up and will do nothing. Any ideas ??It is less then 2 years old.

Problem with the Olympus FE-115 Digital Camera my

Unfortunately, the picture error message means that the image been modified such that the camera can't read it. It is possible that the camera thinks the picture was taken by another camera. Since the picture is still good when you check it with the computer, it hasn't been damaged. Archive the picture and make sure to back it up after it goes on the computer. (If the computer couldn't view it, then you'd need some sort of file recovery software and might not get the entire image back.)

Mu 7.1 meg camera

F YOU PRESS AND HOLD THE ok/function BUTTON, AND TURN THE CAMERA ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES WHILST KEEPING THIS BUTTON DEPRESSED, IT SHOULD HOPEFULLY SORT ITSELF OUT?!

Hi my camera is not showing me pics after I'v taken them and is not saving them what can i do dont have manuel.

No doubt the xd card has not been formatted. In the menu there should be a tools tab or camera set up. Look for format and follow the prompts.Then prior to taking a photo, check to see on the screen how many pictures you can take. This will confirm the card is formatted and ready to accept the images.

Picture error

If you have a combo media-reader, put the xD card in that and connect it to computer. Copy all images through the reader. Then format the xD card. Now it should work okay.

it would appear that the lcd screen has malfunctioned and would need repair.... you can try power cycle by taking batteries out and press and hold power button down for 10 secs, draining all power out of camera, then put the batteries back in and try again

A camera that consistently causes errors on memory that worked before being installed is probably suffering from a board level issue. If the camera is under warranty I would definitely send it in to the manufacturer to be fixed. If it is out of warranty this is an extremely hard problem to track down, and probably would require a new circuit board which may very well cost as much as a new camera. It is possible that the problem lies with the connection between the camera's circuit board and the memory card slot. This is an option, but it is only one of many explanations all pertaining to the electronic components inside the camera. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

Once you delete the photos you have to format the camera each time, which I hadn't done.I contacted Olympus cameras and they sent me a program to retrieve my photos.

Same as user above. If I view certain images on my pc and try to move them from folder to folder instead of do a "copy" command, they will become lost essentially and I recieve a "[xD] Picture Error" on a blue screen and the images become unviewable.
