My Palm Tungsten E2 has an odd problem. While in use, the screen turns completely white and stays that way until the battery dies. No resets of any type (soft or hard) work.

I too was having this problem all of a sudden. I found another post about an apparent bug in the Palm OS. Do you have a birthday or appointment in the calendar with reminders that started in 2009? Try removing the reminders or making them start in 2010. I did that and my Palm now stays off when I power it off.

Okay here it goes, your going to want to leave it on for however many hours it takes to completely drain the battery then you're going to want to recharge it back to normal charge, and try restarting it again. This will delete completely anything that is keeping it from restarting properly. If you did open up the machine without following "antistatic procedure" you may have fried a component on the board and then your in trouble you'll need to salvage a board from another tungsten and put it back in your PDA and hope you put it back together right
