Bring it to its service center... usually that thing locks up when its audio amplifier I.C. is damage,. or you can replace it personally

How to unjam stereo cd drawer
Here is a link to the instruction manual:

On page 42 of the manual is says to try this:
The disc tray does not open or close.
  • The AC power cord is not plugged in.
  • Child Lock is in use (see page 25).]
  • Program Play is in use. Exit from Program Play (see page 24).

I have a jvc mx-c330 bookshelf home stereo in the middle of listening to music the band e.q. changes on its own. do i need to set something as far as memory or what .
There is a demo button. When it's plugged in the first time, or with a power loss, it reverts to that mode. Hit the demo button and it goes away. =)

How do i unlock a jvc home stereo
On the unit, press the stop button and the cd eject button at the same time. The screen will say locked still. Release them and press them together again at the same time. The screen will now read unlocked. You can then eject the cd.

My cd trays are locked and wont open on my jvc stereo model #Ca-Hxd77 system #Hxd77 and i dont know how to unlock it.
Most CD trays have a small hole at front for you insert a straightened paperclip about 1-2 mm inwards. This allows release of tray when power is off. I assume this is what you mean by mechanically locked, not locked by software.
