Press the picture and wide mode buttons at the top of the remote. If that doesn't fix it try a dvd and cable. If only one of the sources " dvd/cable " work correctly the other is the issue.

Can not make the picture to be full screen. Just purchased a 32 inch and the picture is only about 20 inch.

You may have to run the video display setup on the TV first and tell it what modes you want to see. HD would be 1080p or 720p and 16:9 widescreen ratio. Older TV shows that are non HD would be 480i and 4:3 ratio. You need to feed in an HD signal to get full widescreen (unless you select stretch mode for the 4:3 older programs which would look terrible). You have to feed in a 16:9 ratio HD signal to get a full screen display properly. Either from an external HD antenna if your TV has a built in tuner, or from a Blue Ray DVD into the HDMI or component video TV inputs. What is the TV Brand and Model Number?

Vertical and horizental picture expand and please help me to adjust it

It might help if you listed the brand and model of your TV, but usually on the remote you will see some sort of mode button. You can change the picture size there. Or you can go into your system menu and change it in the display menu. The typical ones are widescreen, zoom, stretch, etc. Also try changing the picture aspect ratio. 16:9 will give you widescreen while 4:3 will give you regular. Also, another problem might be that the channel you are watching or your cable box is not in HD. If the channel is not specifically an HD channel, the widescreen setting will not work properly and you will need to adjust it to a different setting to keep from getting the black bars on the side. Hope that helps.

Every one looks so much wider

Because your stations you are watching are transmitting at 4:3, regular TV size but now you have widescreen so everything stretches to the widescreen size that is not transmitting that way. Change your TV's settings to display at 4:3 size on those channels that does not correct the ratio automatically.

Distorted images due to wide screen

Hi
Your entire desktop is probably stretched left to right.
You need to adjust the resolution of your computers video card in the display properties to one that the widescreen will accept correctly.
There is a chance that your video card may not have the correct resolutions available. If this is the case then you may be stuck with this view until you change coputers or video cards.
to get to display properties based on win2k or xp
Right click in the center of your desktop, choose properties, go to settings and there you should see the resolutions available. Try different ones till you find a good one, you may have to settle for one that is close to your monitors setup if the exact one isn't available.
If using a laptop with a standard screen with the wide monitor, you may need to disable the laptop screen and use just the monitor to get the correct resolution on the monitor.

Acer AL2216WBD LCD Monitor Problem

If your computer does not have a video card that supports the correct resolutions for the widescreen monitors, then your picture may get stretched. Much like watching normal tv programs on a an hd set. It will eitther strech or cut off the picture.
Try different settings in you computer display settings.

Sony triniton tv widescreen

It's called the aspect ratio - and on the WEGA design I think you've got a button on the remote labled picture mode.. If not or that doesn't work go into the menu and look for aspect or aspect ratio and rest that to 16:9...

Display appearing stretched

the original image size was probably recorded in 4:3 aspect ratio...meaning your widescreen is a 16:9 ratio size screen and is stretching it outwards to fill the whole screen. If you want the image to look normal.. ie. not short and fat people.... you need to change the picture size in the settings from widescreen 16:9 to normal 4:3 tv in the settings menu most likely...Also most remotes will/should have a button for that.

Widescreen?

If the programs you are watching are in standard definition they are meant to viewed in 4x3 and the best you can do is stretch them. If they are in HD you need to use the component video inputs or HDMI, then the TV will see you are watching HD and display it in its natural format 16x9. Also some SAT recievers and Cable boxes have thier own size/ratio settings
