Compaq computer shutdown

After using my EVO N610c all morning and everything was 100% working, I plugged it up at lunch to recharge the battery. I immediately noticed that it had no lights lit at all when I unplugged it to take it back into my shop after luinch and now it is totally dead. Can anyone help?

I solved it accidentally! I had the battery out and was trying to determine if there was ANY power in it at all when the blower came on and the computer started!! I thought "could the battery actually be causing the thing to shut down cimpletly"? Put the battery back in and total shut down again!! This is a first for me....anybody else know this? Art

This can be due to several reasons
1)The charger is dead-> Try a different charger
2)The dc powerjack on the laptop is burnt(you have to take it part and check it...
3)Last but not least it could be a battery problem..you have to get a new battery..

I have compaq evo N610claptop, it works when plug power cable. battery also charging. but when i remove power cable computer shut down

You have to calibrate the battery.
Reboot press F10 go into the bios and look for battery calibration. Please note that it takes awhile
1 recharge
2 discharge
3 recharge

and it's done

1>NEEDS TO TRY RESEATING OF THE RAM(SWAP THE RAM WHILE PLACING THEM BACK IN) AND THEN TRY TURNING ON THE COMPUTER

BATTERY is charged, but will not work without being plugged in

Your battery is old and worn out, even though it indicates as fully charged. The battery capacity is practically zero. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles.

You need to buy a new battery if you wish to use the laptop without connecting to the mains.

Powered off.

Any beeps when you turn it on? unplug everything and then plug it back in. Make sure the monitor connections are good and that you have it turned on. Again make sure it's turned on. Sometimes it's the simple stuff. Was the monitor working well before it failed? Do you have a video card?
Remove the battery, AC, count to ten and try one last time?
