I have a motoroloi833 from boost mobile I am trying to unlock for use with ATT. It is asking for an 8 digit special code

you can try unlocking your phone through codes. its the safe way to unlock your phone. because when you unlock your phone through software or hardware there are possibilities for data getting corrupted or lost. but there is no such possibilities when you unlock through codes. thats y i prefer this method to unlock my phone. i got the codes from this site Superunlockcodes.com to unlock my phone.

Need defualt code to get into my phone book and messages and 0000 didn't work. Its unlocked too

Dear when your phone asks for 4 digit security code just press menu and you'll be asked by 6 or 8 digit code now press all zeros e.g 000000 or 00000000 I hope you'll unlock it after then you can change the 4 digit code the same way. and always remember don't change 6 or 8 digit code. :)

I have a t-mobile simcard and is asking me for a lock code

If you are attempting to use a T-Mobile SIM card in a Nextel Motorola i730 mobile phone it will NOT work.

T-Mobile phones operate off of a GSM network. The Nextel i730 operates on an iDEN network.

The phone you have can never be compatible with the network you are trying to use it on.

I have a motorola that is asking me for a subsidy password? how can i fix this problem?

To get rid of that message you need to take the following steps.

  1. Obtain a Subsidy Password, also know as an IMEI unlock code. The Motorola subsidy password is an 8 digit code that unlocks your phone for use with other cellular providers. Search Google for Motorola Unlock Codes for a list of retailers. Codes are usually provided within 48 hours, and cost around $30.
  2. *Most providers will not issue the unlock code after your account has been inactive for more that 90 days. They says it is because your account info goes into a "read only" status, and they cannot retrieve the number any longer.*
  3. Enter the IMEI code into the phone. To enter the IMEI code into the phone, all you need to do is insert a SIM card from a different network to the one that your phone is locked to. This will prompt the phone to display "enter subsidy password". Just enter the 8 digit code, and your Motorola phone is unlocked.
