Sharp TV-Remote not working correctly

I moved my TV&VCR.Panasonic VCR and Sharp TV.Went by the book on programing them.Everything works OK except-When I try to change channels with the Sharp TV remote(Up and Down buttons)It goes Input1,Input2 and channel 3,then starts over.Cannot change channels unless I enter the channel number. How do I get it to change channels using the up and down arrows?I have moved this before and never had a problem.

You will need to complete a channel scan from the tvs menu. I assume you have basic cable and that your cable company is still providing analog channels for you to be able to pick up any transmission on this telvision with the digital changeover and all.

Need to know how to program a panasonic omnivision vcr/tv universal remote to tv

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.

I have a harmony 659 and run a number of components. I want to change out the sony tv with another tv panasonic. I added the panasonic ok but want to add other activities to it??? Like dvd, vcr, and son...

The functions that have to do with the TV the remote will 'When in the TV mode' will do all the Panasonic functions. When you switch the remote to the Sony or what ever manufacture DVD you programed it to. It will work with that DVD only and the same with the VCR and so on.
Hope it all makes sense!

New TV won't ''talk to'' old VCR

using the magnovox remote, reprogram the vcr's channels. set it up to use cable not air. when the vcr was unlugged it lost it's channel memory. don't buy new cables, you're getting a picture and sound so that means your rca cables are ok.

I purchased a Panasonic DMR-EZ48VK and connected it per instructions. I was able to do the Intitial Setup, and program the Remote to recognize the TV, but now I can NOT get the Remote Programed! I follow...

The remote lost connection with DVD set. Push OK and hold while you Push #1. This will reset the remote. Connection instructions with set are wrong! After re-wiring, everything works great! I had to call Panasonic and sit on hold, but they were very nice.

Incompatible Sharp vcr remote with sharp tv.

Hi,

The remote for VCH822U is RRMCG1237AJSA, which you already have. That remote only works for VCR's. Also, the model number 2525100 is not a valid Sharp model number. Double check the model number of your TV and I will be able to find you a remote for it.

As far as working both units with one remote....I can check but I will need a valid Sharp model number for you TV.

I don't know how to program my remote anymore!

I had the same problem and typed in the model of my vcr instead of the remote model. This is the site I found, although my tv is not on the list, I followed the steps at the bottom of the page and found that code 08 worked for my Phillips TV. I hope this helps all of you with finding your codes and programming your remotes.

Remote code for PV-M1349

The secret is that the VCR code turns the set on/off and the TV code controlls the volume...try this:

Program the Verizon remote AUX button using the panasonic VCR codes until it turns the set on/off, program the remote for TV using the panasonic TV codes until it controls volume, then program the STB button to control all 3... STB, TV, and AUX. If you are missing any VCR or TV funtions try another respective panasonic code until all functions are available.

Panasonic VCR codes are 1089, 0062, 0189, 0252, 0643, 1062.
Panasonic TV codes are 0277, 0078, 0677, 1437.

To figure this out, I had to use the "what if none of the codes worked" section and figured I'd try the VCR codes since the TV codes would not turn it on/off.

Good Luck!
