Question about Warner Bros. Interactive Lego Batman for DS
Hello,
Unlike the home consoles, and the Sony's rival PSP portable gaming
system, the Nintendo Dual Screen (DS) does not save game data to the
system itself. Instead, game saves are written directly to the game
cartridge. This means that when you wish to erase DS game data, you must
do so on each cartridge individually. This is usually a fairly simple
process, accessible from your game's main options menu. If your game
does not have an option to delete data from the main menu, there is a
hard-cartridge reset option that works with most titles.
Follow the steps below to delete your saved games:
Good luck.

In the game menu go to save game and it will give you the option to delete current game data or start a new one

Try doing this steps in deleting save data from your DS, press and hold SELECT, the L Button, and right on the + Control Pad when you touch the Lego Batman panel on the Nintendo DS system menu. You will be given the option to erase all saved data. But if this doesn't work the only way to do that is to overwrite the save data by starting a new game and overwrite the existing save data on your DS.

Start a new game, and then
save over the other file. I think thats the only way you can get rid of
the other files.

Nintendo DS games don’t normally ask for memory cards to save games.
Perhaps your son hasn’t gotten past certain checkpoints in Lego Batman. I
had similar problems when I first played the game.
However, I never encountered any instance when the game asked me to
provide a memory card to save my progress. In contrast, the PSP does require a memory card for saving games.
As far as I know, Lego Batman uses an auto-saving system. Once your
son gets past certain points, the game is saved. In any case, check if
there’s an option to save during the game. Press Start and look
around the menus for such an option.
I think there’s a certain way to erase game data on any game using a
certain button combination. I’m sure there’s something online that tells
you how to do it. It’s used a lot on the Pokemon games.
Here’s a clip I found off the net…
The very first hit on google for “elite beat agents reset game” has
this:
Quote: hold A + B + X + Y + L + R at the Nintendo iNiS screen and you can
delete your saved data
You can just overwrite games. Start a new game, then ask it to save it
over an old one.
Good luck.
I find this, its possible that you can try it... Unlike the home consoles, and the Sony's rival PSP portable gaming system, the Nintendo Dual Screen (DS) does not save game data to the system itself. Instead, game saves are written directly to the game cartridge. This means that when you wish to erase DS game data, you must do so on each cartridge individually. This is usually a fairly simple process, accessible from your game's main options menu. If your game does not have an option to delete data from the main menu, there is a hard-cartridge reset option that works with most titles.
1. Power on your DS with the game cartridge you wish to delete data from inserted. Once the game loads, check the main menu for an "Options Screen", if your game features this screen, there should be an available option to "Delete All Game Save Data?" Select this option to delete your game data.
2. If your title did not have the option to delete game data automatically, power off your DS. Remove any game cartridge inserted into the system, then power it up back on. Once you are at the main system menu for the DS, insert a cartridge that you wish to erase data from. You should see an icon appear that corresponds to the inserted game.
3. Click the icon for your game cartridge, and quickly press and hold the "A," "B," "Y," "X," "R," and "L" buttons simultaneously. This will perform a hard reset of the cartridge data. Note that there are several game titles where this method will not work.
Good luck.

Have you tried selecting a new game instead of loading the previous ones? This page can help you with everything else in the game:

I am not understanding what you are trying to do. There is no defaults you need to change that is what starting a new game does. I hope you will reconsider and accept/rate one of the solutions.
Good luck,
Lee

I would contact the manufacturer then directly as they are the creators of the game. Follow that link to do so. They have the most complete information if your not finding an answer to your satisfaction.
Thanks,

Reset a Nintendo DS Lite
Step 1. Remove the cover for the battery compartment. The compartment is located on the back of the DS Lite unit and the cover has a small screw holding it in place. You will need a Phillips size 0 screwdriver to remove it.
Step2. Take out the DS Lite's battery pack. There is a tab at the top of the battery pack. Insert your fingernail or the end of the screwdriver carefully into the edge of this tab and pop out the pack.
Step3. Keep the battery pack out of the unit for at least 10 seconds. If you keep the battery pack out for too short of a time, it will not cause a reset in the unit.
Step4. Put the battery pack back into the unit. Just line it up in the compartment and push it back into place..
Step5Replace the cover. Secure the cover back into place with the screw.
Step6Turn on the DS Lite. If the unit has properly reset, a screen will come up that reads "Before you begin, you must adjust system settings." You can now enter all new settings and information on your DS Lite. If you do not get the system settings screen, you did not keep the battery pack out long enough. Repeat the steps and leave your battery pack out for a longer period of time.

Usually answered in minutes!
The usual remedy (holding R, L, X, Y, A and B once at the main menu screen) for deleting the saved data does not work. Is there another solution please?
I am still trying to delete all the saved data from the game. The above solution ( holding ALL the buttons ) does not work. Please, is there another solution?
I am still trying to delete all the saved data. The above solution just overwrites previous saved data. I would like to delete everything and go back to factory default. Perhaps there is not an answer?
Can I assume that really there is absolutely no answer to my question. It is impossible to delete all the saved data and start as at factory default?
