I can't get my techpet to wirk

Instructions
    • 1 Check that the iDog is powered on if it doesn't respond to your commands. Press its nose to activate the toy.
    • 2 Verify that the iDog has fresh batteries installed if the dog doesn't turn on. Use a Phillips screwdriver to open the dog's battery compartment, located on the its right back leg. Insert two new AA-sized batteries according to the "+" and "-" symbols listed in the compartment.
    • 3 Inspect the iDog's connection to your iPod if it doesn't move and dance to your iPod's music. Plug the iDog's connector cable into your iPod. The cable end labeled "B" gets inserted into the headphone jack on your iPod. The opposite end goes into the front left leg of the iDog.
    • 4 Make sure your iPod is powered on if the toy is connected to the media player and is turned on, but not moving to the music. Your iPod may need recharged by connecting it to a computer with its included USB cable.
    • 5 Reset the iDog if it continually freezes or stops moving in the middle of a dance. Use the tip of a pen, paper clip or similar thin object to press the reset button located on the bottom of the toy's head.

My samsung batteries keep dying. I just put new

Hello :

Try to clean the base where the batteries set . Maybe the base became rusty or got some isolation stuff on it . If that didn't help , then there must be a problem with the main PCB [ printed circuit board ] . For that you need to take your CAM to a repair shop .

good luck .

The camera was unused for several years.

Try to clean the battery contacts on the camera as it became rusty as well. Then install brand new batteries.

I got my iDog from a friend. I took the batteries out and there was a weird white powder. I put new energizer batteries in and it won't turn on. What do I do?

It sounds like the battery leaked. First, disolve some baking soda in water and carefully and as dry as possible, wipe out as much or all of the residue. Attempt after a few hours of drying to re-insert fresh new batteries and see if it turns on. If not, I would save the leaked batteries in a baggie and contact the battery manufacturer via carrier mail and explain that the batteries leaked in your device and it will no longer work and you would appreciate either a repair or replace. Most times if you have the bad batteries and mail them in also, they will either reimburse you for the product if they are not able to repair it. I know this has worked for energizer and rayovac batteries. Be civil and professional in the letter and I bet you get some resolution. Good Luck and hope this works for you. Actually, before cleaning the product, you should probably contact the battery company first if possible so the proof is still in the iDog. Good luck

I lost the manual to my idog amp'd and don't know how to replace the batteries because i can't find the compartment

Under the iDog AMP'D "Backlegs" there should be two screws. Unscrew them (Lefty Loosy, Righty-Tighty) and replace the batteries with three "AA" batteries. Hope this helped!

How to charge a idog

You don't "Charge" iDog AMP'D, you change the battery pack located under it's hind feet. When your iDog does the intro when you turn it on every five seconds, that means it's time for some new batteries!

I had this Idog for a year and the battery was corroded and it won't work should i buy a new one?

Usually, if the corrosion is not that extensive, this problem can be fixed by sanding (such as with an emery board) the contacts in the battery compartment and cleaning them with rubbing alcohol.

Idog keeps dying!

The idog should not do that and i suggest returning it or exchanging it for another one.
