If you mean the Coby RC-017 remote, it is not a universal remote that can be set to control any TV or other device. This remote will only work with the TV for which it was originally programmed. I believe it should work for a TF-TV1511, if both the remote transmitter and television IR sensor are working. Assuming you have the correct TV, try just pressing the power button.
I hope this helps.
(I suspect you found the directions for the Coby Universal Replacement Remote which controls several devices.)
Sounds like the power supply could be bad in unit. If you are technically inclined you can open the back of that baby and check her out. Look for bad fuses or a bad backlight maybe. Let me know if you need some other help. Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY
Hello, this has probably already been resolved, but if it hasn't, or you have any more questions, just follow the link below. The link will show you how to program the remote to your tv via power scan. I hope this information helps.
Usually, any universal remote works on just about any tv. To find the codes, I suggest googling the remote model number +codes, or try to find instructions for an "auto search" so you don't have to keep punching in codes. Good luck!
